The interest rate is the cost to borrow the money disbursed in the loan.   The APR is the total cost of the loan over its life, including costs and fees.

Application Questions
  1. Who can apply for the Citizens One Payment Plan loan?
Applicants may be college students, parents of college students, and/or faculty of secondary or post secondary institutions. Co-Borrowers may be any credit worthy individual willing to apply jointly with the applicant.  All applicants must have a social security number and a valid U.S. address.

  2. When should I apply with a Co-Borrower?
You should apply with a Co-Borrower if:

    • You have established credit and do not currently have an income.
  3. Can you give me a brief overview of how the Citizens One Payment Plan and my Apple purchase will work together?
    There are 5 steps:

    1. Apply for the Citizens One Payment Plan to find out how much you can borrow for your Apple purchase.  You will receive a loan number once approved.
    2. Shop at the Apple Online Store for Education http://store.apple.com/us-hed. Check out with your loan number.
    3. Choose your term.
    4. E-sign your documents to finalize the loan.
    5. Make your monthly payments (you can set up automatic payments).
  4. What information will I need before getting started with the application?
Most of the information we need from you is straight forward.  To make the application process as fast as possible, you should have your SSN with you when applying.  If you have your bank account details, you can set up automated payments before finishing the application.

If you are applying with a Co-Borrower, give them a heads-up and tell them to look out for emails from Citizens One about the Payment Plan and how to apply.

  5. What is the process for a Co-Borrower?

    1. Upon receiving an email invitation to be a Co-Borrower, follow the link provided to complete the Co-Borrower portion of the application.
    2. After the applicant has shopped and e-signed their loan documents, an email will be sent to the Co-Borrower to prompt them to e-sign their portion of the loan documents.
  6. Who could be a Co-Borrower and what does it mean for that person?
A Co-Borrower must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident living at a valid U.S. address, and needs to be at least 18 years of age with an established credit history.  This can be a parent, family member or guardian.

A Co-Borrower can help you apply for credit and build a credit history for the future and will be responsible for the loan payments if you fail to make payments.  This loan will appear on the Co-Borrower's credit report.

Please use your permanent home address for your Citizens One Payment Plan application.
